Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project/site quantity surveying and cost control activities, ensuring accurate cost monitoring, commercial management, and effective contract administration throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage quantity surveying and cost control activities for ongoing projects.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and overall financial progress.
  • Prepare and review BOQs, measurements, valuations, and payment certificates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and verify project quantities.
  • Assist with contract administration and project-related commercial matters.
  • Monitor subcontractor work progress and review related measurements and valuations.
  • Coordinate with project/site teams, subcontractors, and management on commercial matters.
  • Track project variations, claims, and cost implications.
  • Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates on project financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and records of project costs and commercial activities.
  • Utilize ERP systems for project cost monitoring and related commercial activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Project/Site Quantity Surveying and Cost Control.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Project/Site QS experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Cost Control experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a Grade A or major contracting company.
  • Candidates with primarily Estimation/Tendering QS experience will not be considered.
  • Consultancy experience will not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, contracts, and project commercial activities.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Strong skills in BOQ preparation, measurements, valuations, variations, and payment certificates.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
