Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project/site quantity surveying and cost control activities, ensuring accurate cost monitoring, commercial management, and effective contract administration throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quantity surveying and cost control activities for ongoing projects.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and overall financial progress.
- Prepare and review BOQs, measurements, valuations, and payment certificates.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and verify project quantities.
- Assist with contract administration and project-related commercial matters.
- Monitor subcontractor work progress and review related measurements and valuations.
- Coordinate with project/site teams, subcontractors, and management on commercial matters.
- Track project variations, claims, and cost implications.
- Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates on project financial performance.
- Ensure accurate documentation and records of project costs and commercial activities.
- Utilize ERP systems for project cost monitoring and related commercial activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Project/Site Quantity Surveying and Cost Control.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Project/Site QS experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Cost Control experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a Grade A or major contracting company.
- Candidates with primarily Estimation/Tendering QS experience will not be considered.
- Consultancy experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, contracts, and project commercial activities.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Valid driving license.
- Strong skills in BOQ preparation, measurements, valuations, variations, and payment certificates.
- Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
