Welder/Fitter

We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team at a reputable facility management company in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in welding and fitting, with the ability to maintain and repair mechanical systems and structures. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fitting tasks to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications and requirements.

• Assemble, install, and maintain pipes, valves, tanks, and other mechanical systems for various facility management needs.

• Inspect and test welded and fitted components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address mechanical failures and perform repairs as necessary.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the work area, following all safety protocols and guidelines.

• Operate and maintain welding and fitting equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient facility operations.

• Assist in other tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor or facility manager.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience as a Welder/Fitter in a facility management, industrial, or similar environment.

• Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fitting, and assembly processes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality standards.

• Good understanding of safety protocols and ability to work in compliance with safety standards.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and schedules.

• Strong communication skills and ability to report on work progress and issues.
