Urology Consultant

As an experienced Urology Consultant, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Your expertise in urology and dedication to patient care will be pivotal in the healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and prostate issues.

  • Perform surgical procedures including cystoscopies, nephrectomies, and prostatectomies as needed.

  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to formulate accurate diagnoses.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.

  • Provide patient education on urological health, treatment options, and preventive measures.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, radiologists, and nephrologists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

  • Stay updated on advancements in urology treatments and techniques through continuing education and research.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patient consultations, procedures, and outcomes.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.

  • Residency training in urology from a recognized program.

  • Board certification in urology.

  • Valid medical license to practice.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience as a Urology Consultant, including experience in the GCC region.

  • Required QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners) license or equivalent licensing from the regulatory authority in Qatar.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions.

  • Strong surgical skills with experience in both open and minimally invasive procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
