Turkish Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Turkish Head Chef to lead the kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will oversee the preparation and presentation of authentic Turkish dishes, ensuring that every dish is of the highest quality and meets the standards of our restaurant. Your leadership and expertise will help create a memorable dining experience for our guests, showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of Turkish cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Creation & Development: Design, plan, and innovate authentic Turkish dishes while maintaining traditional flavors. Continuously update the menu to keep it fresh and exciting for guests.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that the kitchen is organized, clean, and running efficiently at all times. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring all employees adhere to food safety standards and company policies.
  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, including traditional Turkish specialties like kebabs, mezes, pide, baklava, and more. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure dishes meet the restaurant's standards. Taste test dishes to maintain authenticity and quality.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure ingredients are fresh and sourced from reputable suppliers. Work within budget to maintain cost control while ensuring high-quality ingredients.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that kitchen operations comply with local food safety regulations, health codes, and hygiene practices. Oversee the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen at all times.
  • Staff Training & Development: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training on Turkish cuisine, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to ensure satisfaction, offer personalized recommendations, and gather feedback to improve the dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Years of proven experience as a Head Chef in a professional kitchen, with expertise in Turkish cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of Turkish cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional dishes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide kitchen staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including inventory management and cost control.
  • Passion for Turkish food, with a dedication to maintaining authenticity and high standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
