Telephone Operator

We are seeking a polite, well-spoken, and service-oriented Telephone Operator to join a respected luxury hotel in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, providing accurate information, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and hotel departments. A calm and professional manner, along with strong communication skills, is essential to support the hotel’s high standard of guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, following hotel standards and scripting.

• Direct calls to appropriate departments or personnel efficiently and accurately.

• Handle guest requests, inquiries, wake-up calls, and complaints with professionalism and a guest-first approach.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and local information to assist callers.

• Monitor emergency lines and procedures, alerting the appropriate teams immediately when necessary.

• Log all relevant information in the system with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Coordinate closely with front office, housekeeping, and guest services to ensure timely guest support.

• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of guest and company information at all times.

• Uphold brand service standards and reflect the hotel’s luxury image through every interaction.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Hospitality or Communication is a plus.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5-star hotel or luxury service environment.

• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.

• Strong command of English; bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic preferred; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.

• Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and handle guest concerns with tact and professionalism.

• Familiarity with hotel phone systems and reservation software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) is preferred.

• Presentable appearance and a polished, professional demeanor.
