As a Technician A&C (Airframe and Powerplant) in the aviation sector, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing aircraft to ensure their safety and operational efficiency. Your expertise in airframe and powerplant systems will be essential in upholding the highest standards of aviation maintenance and reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft airframe and powerplant systems, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve problems.
Conduct thorough inspections and tests of aircraft systems and components, documenting findings and performing necessary repairs or adjustments.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules and modifications.
Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and industry best practices, conducting regular quality checks and audits.
Assist with the procurement and inventory management of aircraft parts and tools, ensuring availability and proper storage.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff, promoting adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Stay updated on advancements in aviation technology and maintenance practices, incorporating new methods to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Support environmental sustainability initiatives by adopting eco-friendly practices and technologies in maintenance operations.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in airframe and powerplant maintenance preferred.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent.
5-7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance roles within the aviation industry.
Experience in the GCC region is preferred, with knowledge of local aviation maintenance practices and cultural norms.
Strong technical skills and attention to detail for accurate diagnosis and repair of aircraft systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using maintenance and diagnostic tools, with familiarity with aviation-specific systems preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance challenges.
Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Arabic, are advantageous.
