The Stewarding Supervisor oversees daily stewarding operations within a luxury hotel environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency. The role involves supervising stewarding staff, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and supporting smooth kitchen and food & beverage operations in line with five-star hotel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily stewarding operations across kitchens, restaurants, and banquet areas.
  • Assign duties, schedules, and workstations to stewarding staff.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained to luxury hotel standards.
  • Enforce strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
  • Monitor proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
  • Conduct daily inspections of stewarding and back-of-house areas.
  • Maintain par stock levels of kitchen equipment and operating supplies.
  • Coordinate with chefs, F&B teams, and maintenance for operational requirements and repairs.
  • Train stewarding staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure proper waste management, recycling, and sustainability practices.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or senior steward in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hygiene standards, HACCP, and cleaning procedures.
  • Experience supervising and training teams.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene certification required.
