Sr. Softscape Foreman

As a Senior Softscape Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and managing softscape construction and maintenance projects, ensuring the successful installation and care of all living landscape elements. You will oversee a team of workers, coordinate tasks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute softscape projects, including plant installations, transplanting, sodding, and mulching.

• Supervise and lead a team of softscape laborers, gardeners, and helpers

• Choose appropriate plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers based on site conditions, climate, and client preferences.

• Monitor and manage plant health, including watering, fertilization, and disease control.

• Prepare the site for softscape installations, which may include soil preparation, grading, and drainage management.

• Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and tools, such as tractors, excavators, and hand tools

• Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during work.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for this role, although additional education or training in horticulture or landscaping is often preferred.
  

• Proven experience in softscape construction and maintenance, preferably in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of plant varieties, soil types, and horticultural techniques.

• Familiarity with landscape design plans and project specifications.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Ability to operate landscaping equipment and machinery.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
