Solar Supervisor

The successful candidate will manage a team of solar technicians, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard, on time, and in compliance with all safety regulations and local codes. The Solar Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of photovoltaic systems and supporting the growth of renewable energy solutions within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of solar technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of solar systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular inspections of installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
  • Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, electrical components, and related systems according to engineering designs and specifications.
  • Ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to solar technicians.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of materials and equipment and coordinate with the procurement team.
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure the timely completion of solar projects.
  • Perform on-site assessments and ensure that system performance aligns with client expectations.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior technicians in best practices and safety protocols.
  • Ensure all solar systems meet energy efficiency standards and best practices.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Certificate or degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Solar Supervisor or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of solar systems.
  • GCC experience preferred.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting solar systems and components.
  • Strong knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, and electrical systems.
  • In-depth understanding of local regulations, codes, and safety standards in the solar energy industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Must hold a valid QID and NOC for employment in Qatar.
