We are looking for an experienced Shawarma Maker with at least 3 years of experience in preparing high-quality shawarma. As a Shawarma Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking shawarma, ensuring that every dish is flavorful, consistent, and meets our restaurant’s high standards. Your expertise will play a key role in delivering a fantastic dining experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shawarma Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, marinate, and cook shawarma meat (chicken, beef, lamb, or mixed) using traditional methods, including cooking on a vertical rotisserie.
  • Meat Slicing & Assembly: Slice shawarma meat to the appropriate thickness and assemble it for serving, ensuring it is done with precision and consistency.
  • Marinade Preparation: Prepare and apply marinades for shawarma meats, ensuring the flavors are balanced and meats are tender and flavorful.
  • Maintaining Quality & Consistency: Ensure that each serving of shawarma is consistently high-quality in terms of taste, portion size, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Organization: Keep the work area organized and ensure that the cooking equipment (rotisserie, grill, knives, etc.) is clean and functioning properly.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to food safety standards and hygiene regulations, ensuring that all ingredients are handled, stored, and prepared according to health codes.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that the necessary items are always available and stored correctly.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers when necessary, ensuring their satisfaction and providing a personalized experience if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with proven experience making shawarma in a professional kitchen or food establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of shawarma preparation techniques, including marinating, cooking on a rotisserie, and slicing meat to perfection.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of quality and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on presentation and portion control.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality output.
