Rigging Supervisor (Oil and Gas)

We are seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to oversee and coordinate rigging operations in the oil and gas industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of equipment and materials. Utilizing your extensive expertise, you will supervise rigging crews, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your commitment to safety and operational excellence will contribute to the successful execution of rigging activities. 

•  Supervise and coordinate rigging operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.

•  Oversee rigging crews, providing guidance and training to maintain high performance standards.

•  Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

•  Develop and implement rigging plans and procedures for lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials.

•  Collaborate with project managers and other supervisors to plan and schedule rigging activities.

•  Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of rigging equipment, including ropes, chains, and lifting devices.

•  Investigate and report any incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

•  Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, equipment inspections, and safety reports.

•  Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in rigging techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

•  High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in rigging or a related field preferred.

•  7-8 years of experience in rigging operations, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

•  Experience in the GCC region is preferred, with knowledge of local industry practices and standards.

•  Comprehensive knowledge of rigging principles, safety regulations, and industry standards.

•  Strong leadership and communication skills for effective supervision and collaboration with teams.

•  Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational challenges.

•  Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding environments.

•  Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

•  Proficiency in using rigging equipment and tools.

•  Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Arabic, are advantageous.
