QA/QC Specialist (Oil and Gas)

As a QA/QC Specialist in the oil and gas industry, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of project deliverables through systematic quality assurance and control processes. Utilizing your expertise, you will implement QA/QC procedures, conduct inspections, and collaborate with project teams to uphold industry standards and client requirements. Your role is essential in maintaining project integrity, reducing risks, and achieving high standards of quality and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards in the oil and gas sector.

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and installations to verify adherence to quality requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

  • Perform root cause analysis and preventive actions for non-conformances, deviations, and deficiencies identified during inspections and audits.

  • Monitor and evaluate contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements and project deliverables.

  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, documentation, and records, maintaining accuracy and completeness throughout project phases.

  • Facilitate and participate in quality reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and efficiency.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on QA/QC processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Conduct supplier evaluations and assessments to ensure procurement of quality materials and services that meet project specifications.

  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in QA/QC practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

 Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQM) is advantageous.

  • 7-8 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of industry-specific quality standards and processes.

  • Experience in the GCC region is preferred, demonstrating knowledge of local industry practices and regulations.

  • Proficiency in conducting inspections, audits, and quality assessments using relevant tools and methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for effective problem-solving and decision-making in quality management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in QA/QC software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly Arabic, is beneficial.
