Purchase Executive - Automotive

As a Purchase Executive in the automotive industry, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of automotive parts, equipment, and services. This role requires a strategic approach to supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery in a competitive market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors for automotive parts and equipment.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to maintain adequate stock while minimizing excess.

  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage order status to ensure timely supply chain operations.

  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, price fluctuations, and alternative suppliers.

  • Evaluate supplier performance, resolve any discrepancies or issues, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and maintenance, to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply levels.

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the automotive industry, with GCC experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and suppliers.

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms.

  • Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems.

  • Proficient in conducting cost analysis and preparing budget reports.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement tasks effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building supplier relationships.

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.

  • Ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.

  • Analytical mindset to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
