As a Project Control Manager in the oil and gas industry, you will oversee and manage the planning, scheduling, and cost control of projects to ensure their successful execution. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will develop project control strategies, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Your strategic oversight and adherence to project management best practices will play a crucial role in achieving project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project control strategies to effectively manage the planning, scheduling, and cost aspects of oil and gas projects.
Monitor project progress against established schedules, budgets, and milestones, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Prepare and present project status reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior management and project stakeholders.
Utilize project management software and tools to maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and optimize project outcomes.
Implement change management processes to assess and incorporate changes in project scope, schedule, and budget.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead project control meetings and facilitate discussions to resolve issues and drive project performance improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management and project controls.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; a master's degree is preferred.
78 years of experience in project controls or project management, with a focus on oil and gas projects.
Experience in the GCC region is advantageous, with knowledge of local industry practices and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
Leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary project teams.
Strategic thinking and decision-making skills to anticipate project challenges and implement effective solutions.
Flexibility to travel to project sites and work in different environments as required.
Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Arabic, are beneficial.
