As a Pipeline Technician in the oil and gas industry, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of pipeline systems to ensure their reliability and safety. Leveraging your experience, you will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and monitor pipeline performance to prevent disruptions and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your expertise in pipeline operations and maintenance will contribute to the efficient and safe transportation of oil and gas products.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of pipeline systems to ensure operational integrity and safety.
Monitor pipeline conditions and performance using specialized tools and equipment, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Conduct tests and inspections to assess pipeline integrity, adherence to safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement maintenance schedules and optimize pipeline efficiency.
Respond to emergency situations, such as leaks or equipment failures, to minimize downtime and ensure rapid resolution.
Document maintenance activities, inspection findings, and repairs performed, maintaining accurate records.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to uphold safety standards and emergency response procedures.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new pipelines and related equipment as needed.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in pipeline operations and maintenance.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in pipeline operations or a related field preferred.
7-8 years of experience in pipeline maintenance or operations within the oil and gas industry.
Experience in the GCC region is advantageous, with knowledge of local industry practices and regulations.
Proficiency in using pipeline inspection tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, leak detection devices, and pigging systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues efficiently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and demanding environment.
Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Arabic, are beneficial.
