Pipeline Design Engineer (Oil and Gas)

As a Pipeline Design Engineer in the oil and gas industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient and safe pipeline systems. Utilizing your extensive expertise, you will conduct feasibility studies, create detailed designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your commitment to technical excellence and innovative solutions will support the successful delivery of pipeline projects.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Design and develop pipeline systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

•  Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability of pipeline projects.

•  Create detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for pipeline construction and maintenance.

•  Collaborate with cross functional teams, including project managers, field engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.

•  Oversee the selection and procurement of materials and equipment for pipeline projects.

•  Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the design and implementation phases.

•  Perform stress analysis and hydraulic calculations to optimize pipeline performance.

•  Participate in project reviews and provide technical expertise to address design challenges and implement improvements.

•  Maintain accurate documentation and records of design processes, calculations, and project modifications.

•  Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in pipeline engineering.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

•  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.

•  7-8 years of experience in pipeline design engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

•  Experience in the GCC region is preferred, with knowledge of local industry practices and standards.

•  Proficiency in pipeline design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, CAESAR II, or similar.

•  Comprehensive knowledge of pipeline design principles, safety regulations, and industry standards.

•  Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

•  Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to design challenges and project execution.

•  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

•  Flexibility to travel to project sites and work in different environments as required.

•  Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Arabic, are advantageous.
