As a Pharmacist in a healthcare facility, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, dispensing medications accurately, and counseling patients on their proper use. Your expertise in pharmacy operations and commitment to patient safety will contribute to the healthcare organization's success.
Job Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and safely, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence to prescribed treatments.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
Maintain pharmacy inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
Conduct medication reviews and offer expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare providers.
Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing, inventory management, and patient record keeping.
Stay updated on pharmacological advancements and best practices in pharmaceutical care.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited pharmacy school.
Valid pharmacist license to practice.
Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating proficiency in dispensing medications and providing pharmaceutical care.
Previous experience working in the GCC is preferred. with knowledge of GCC pharmacy regulations and practices.
Understanding of Qatar Pharmacy Law and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Must have passed the Qatar Prometric Exam for Pharmacists.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Commitment to patient safety, accuracy in medication dispensing, and adherence to professional ethics.
Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and other related technologies.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly Arabic, is beneficial.
