As an operations manager in the healthcare industry, you
will oversee and manage the operational aspects of healthcare projects,
ensuring efficient execution from inception to completion. Leveraging your
expertise in operations management, you will coordinate resources, schedules,
and project deliverables to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality
standards. Your role is pivotal in driving operational success, mitigating
risks, and achieving strategic objectives for healthcare facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage healthcare projects from planning through implementation, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management strategies tailored to healthcare settings.
Coordinate and supervise project activities, including procurement, construction, facility setup, and operational launch phases.
Monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and achieve project milestones.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to align project goals with organizational strategies and patient care objectives.
Prepare comprehensive project status reports, performance metrics, and financial forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and environmental requirements throughout project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the operational team to enhance healthcare service delivery.
Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement processes to optimize operational outcomes and minimize disruptions.
Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in operations management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations management, demonstrating successful oversight of complex projects.
Proven experience in GCC healthcare operations, with knowledge of local healthcare systems and regulatory requirements highly preferred.
Strong leadership abilities with proven skills in team management, conflict resolution, and operational strategy execution.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Lean management tools) for planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and opportunities in healthcare settings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and presenting operational strategies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving project requirements within healthcare operations.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly beneficial for multicultural healthcare environments.
