Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist in a healthcare facility, you will be responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. Your expertise in occupational therapy and commitment to patient care will play a critical role in our healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to develop effective treatment plans.

  • Design and implement personalized therapy programs to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.

  • Educate patients and their families on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to improve quality of life.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports accurately and timely.

  • Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice.

  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Required experience in the GCC region, with knowledge of local healthcare regulations and practices.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing effective occupational therapy treatment plans.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.

  • Required QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners) license or equivalent licensing from the regulatory authority in Qatar.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to professional ethics.

  • Proficiency in using therapy equipment and software systems related to occupational therapy.
