Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Metering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in instrument maintenance within fiscal and allocation metering and tank gauging systems, specifically in the oil & gas, LNG, or petrochemical sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of metering and tank gauging systems, ensuring accurate measurement of process variables such as flow, temperature, pressure, density, and level.
- Maintain and calibrate devices including DP-based meters (senior orifice, venturi, annubar, v-cone), Ultrasonic, Turbine, Coriolis, and Vortex flow meters, as well as conventional, servo, and radar-based level measurement instruments.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of metering systems for fiscal and allocation purposes in compliance with industry standards.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to metering equipment, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to support the overall maintenance strategy and ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Use various diagnostic tools and equipment to perform metering checks and validations.
- Adhere to safety and operational procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices in metering and instrumentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of instrument maintenance experience in fiscal/allocation metering and tank gauging systems within oil & gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of techniques and devices used for measuring flow, temperature, pressure, density, and level.
- Specific expertise in DP-based metering (senior orifice, venturi, annubar, v-cone), Ultrasonic, Turbine, Coriolis, and Vortex flow meters, as well as conventional, servo, and radar-based level measurement techniques.
- Computer literate with knowledge of commonly used Microsoft business software packages.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
