As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and management of mechanical systems in buildings and infrastructure projects. Your role involves applying your technical expertise to ensure these systems are efficiently designed, safe, and compliant with relevant codes and regulations. Effective coordination with project teams, architects, and contractors is essential to meet project specifications and maintain high standards throughout the construction process.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and analyze mechanical systems and components for buildings and infrastructure projects.
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing mechanical systems and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and optimize mechanical designs.
Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the safety and performance of mechanical systems under various conditions.
Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors and suppliers.
Provide technical guidance and support during the construction and installation phases.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for mechanical designs.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders.
Investigate mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and construction technology.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the construction industry, with GCC experience preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of local building codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
