Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a technically strong and practical Mechanical / Technical Engineer with solid experience in valves and water infrastructure systems. The role focuses on technical evaluation, submittals, and project support, with occasional involvement in client coordination and commercial assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties (Core Focus):

• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs
• Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, and material approvals
• Handle product range including industrial valves and fittings
• Coordinate with suppliers for technical clarifications
• Provide technical support during testing and commissioning activities

Coordination & Support:

• Support the sales team with technical inputs and product selection
• Attend client/consultant meetings for technical clarification when required
• Assist in preparing technical sections of quotations
• Follow up on submittals and approvals with consultants and clients

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in valves, piping, water/wastewater, or MEP trading companies
• Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial valves and flow control systems
• Proven experience in preparing technical submittals and handling approvals in Qatar projects
• Familiarity with standards such as AWWA, BS, DIN, ISO is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Basic computer skills (MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage)
• Valid Qatar driving license preferred
