As a Line Service Technician in the aviation industry, you will play a crucial role in supporting ground operations and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of aircraft. Your responsibilities will include providing essential services to aircraft, crew, and passengers to facilitate smooth flight operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform aircraft refueling operations in compliance with safety regulations and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft to verify fuel levels, safety equipment, and cleanliness.
Assist with aircraft towing, positioning, and movement on the ramp or in hangars as required.
Manage and maintain ground service equipment (GSE), ensuring operational readiness and safety compliance.
Provide exceptional customer service to pilots, crew members, and passengers, addressing inquiries and fulfilling service requests promptly.
Coordinate with flight operations, ground crew, and air traffic control to ensure timely and safe departure and arrival of aircraft.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of fuel and other supplies necessary for ground operations, coordinating replenishment as needed.
Adhere to environmental and safety regulations during all aspects of ground handling and service operations.
Assist with de-icing procedures during winter operations, ensuring aircraft are prepared for safe takeoff in adverse weather conditions.
Maintain accurate records of fuel transactions, equipment inspections, and service requests using electronic systems or logs.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in aviation or related fields preferred.
2-3 years of experience in aviation ground operations, preferably as a Line Service Technician.
Familiarity with aviation fueling procedures and safety protocols is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate flight schedules.
Basic proficiency in computer applications for data entry and record-keeping.
Commitment to safety, compliance with regulatory requirements, and environmental stewardship in aviation operations.
Fluency in English; additional languages may be beneficial depending on the operational environment.
