Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within the Oil & Gas industry, petrochemical, or process plants. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Lead and supervise a team of electrical technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system layouts and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all electrical work.
- Monitor and test electrical systems and equipment for reliability, functionality, and performance.
- Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future actions.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to enhance team performance and skill development.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Trade from a recognized institute.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the electrical field, with at least 8 years in an electrical technician role within the Oil & Gas industry, petrochemical, or process plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including control circuits, motors, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations in the electrical field.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and respond to emergency situations as needed.
