As a Lab Technician in the healthcare industry, you will play a crucial role in conducting laboratory tests and analyses to support clinical diagnoses and patient care. Leveraging your expertise in laboratory procedures and healthcare protocols, you will ensure accurate and timely test results. Your responsibilities will include performing tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety and quality standards to uphold patient care excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples to aid in clinical diagnoses.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established protocols.
Prepare specimens and samples for testing, following strict procedures to maintain sample integrity and quality.
Document and record test results accurately in laboratory information systems (LIS), maintaining confidentiality and data security.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate clinical information for patient care.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives to maintain laboratory accreditation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents to ensure adequate stock levels.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Lab Technician in a healthcare setting, with experience in performing clinical tests and analyses.
Previous experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing laboratory tests and documenting results.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare professionals and patients.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) for data entry and result reporting.
Language proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
