As an intern, you will utilize your customer communication skills to increase productivity while learning the core values that support our mission. Working closely with your hiring managers, you will gain invaluable exposure and experience within the hospitality industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
FOOD AND BEVERAGE BEVERAGE: -
Greet customers and hand out menus.
Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
Check that customers are satisfied with their meals.
Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
Administer change to tables if needed.
FRONT OFFICE DEPARTMENT:-
- Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly manner.
- Checking guests in on arrival and out on departure.
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts.
- Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.
- Assisting guests with disabilities.
- Operating switchboard and assisting with inquiries.
- Assisting the reservations manager with taking reservations.
- Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Complying with company procedures and safety policies.
HOUSEKEEPING DEPARTMENT:-
Greeting guests and responding to queries.
Changing bed linen and making beds.
Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
Sweeping and mopping floors.
Vacuuming carpets.
Dusting and polishing furniture.
Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar.
Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
Updating the status of guest rooms on the assignment sheet.
Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
FOOD PRODUCTION:-
To have knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
Preparation of ingredients and dishes
Reports any non-available item to Section Head, and proposes an alternative if the item can not be prepared within an acceptable time frame
Ensures that equipment is used correctly, and kept clean, and reports any defects promptly
Reports any injury and accidents to his supervisor or kitchen management.
Checks and controls the proper storage of products, monitoring the age and condition of all food items to rotate.
Ensure that proper food rotation practices are in place, and wastage is minimized by proper food storage procedures.
Communicate in a timely manner with the Sous Chefs any food items that need to be ordered
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
No Work Experience required
Fluent in English Communications both spoken and written
Should be 19 years old and above
