Furniture Coordinator

Seeking an experienced Furniture Coordinator for a short-term project in Qatar to manage furniture deliveries, inspections, snag reports, and coordinate carpentry and installation works. The role includes maintaining inventory, monitoring warehouse storage, tracking maintenance tasks, and preparing progress reports while ensuring safety, security, and confidentiality. Requires a Diploma in Architecture/Interior Design, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong English skills, and excellent computer proficiency.
Nature and Scope of Position / Responsibilities:
- Receive furniture delivery orders, conduct inspections, and prepare snag reports.
- Coordinate carpentry maintenance and monitor furniture installations.
- Maintain inventory of furniture, materials, and equipment.
- Inspect warehouses and ensure proper storage of furniture and related items.
- Maintain records of furniture deliveries, complaints, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Prepare detailed reports on furniture maintenance progress, backlog, service levels, trends, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with QU security and safety guidelines and assist in incident reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information at all times.
- Perform other duties as directed by Operations & Maintenance Engineers of QU.
Experience and Education:
- Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design from a recognized university or college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects and/or furniture coordination.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, internet research, data handling, and well-formatted report preparation.
- Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid visa/QID.
