The Electrical Safety Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs related to electrical safety for employees within an organization. This role involves creating engaging and informative training materials, conducting hands-on training sessions, and ensuring that employees understand and adhere to electrical safety standards and procedures. The Electrical Safety Trainer plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety, preventing accidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Program Development:

  • Design, develop, and update comprehensive electrical safety training programs.

  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, videos, and written documentation.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements in electrical safety.

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct training sessions for employees at various levels, ensuring that the content is delivered effectively.

  • Provide hands-on training on the safe use of electrical equipment, tools, and machinery.

  • Customize training sessions based on the specific needs and requirements of different departments.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay current on electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.

  • Ensure that training programs align with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure compliance and adherence to safety standards.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Conduct risk assessments related to electrical hazards in the workplace.

  • Develop strategies to mitigate electrical risks and prevent accidents.

  • Provide guidance on the implementation of safety measures and procedures.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Implement systems to track and evaluate the effectiveness of electrical safety training programs.

  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery.

Emergency Response Training:

  • Provide guidance on emergency response procedures related to electrical incidents.

  • Conduct drills and simulations to prepare employees for emergency situations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and participant feedback.

  • Generate reports on the effectiveness of training programs for management review.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other safety professionals, trainers, and relevant departments to ensure a holistic approach to workplace safety.

  • Participate in safety committees and meetings to share insights and contribute to overall safety initiatives.


QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical safety training or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in electrical safety training.

  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
