Food Safety and Hygiene Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety and Hygiene Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards across all aspects of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety management, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor food safety and hygiene policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and international standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation requirements.

  • Coordinate and oversee training programs for employees on food safety practices, hygiene standards, and proper handling procedures.

  • Collaborate with procurement and quality assurance teams to ensure that food suppliers meet safety and quality standards.

  • Investigate and address any food safety incidents or concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.

  • Stay informed about developments and updates in food safety regulations and best practices, and implement necessary changes as required.

  • Work closely with management and operational teams to promote a culture of food safety and hygiene excellence.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field.

  • Certification in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the food and beverage industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and practices.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively train and educate staff at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and food safety management software.
