Fire and Rescue Technician (FRC)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Fire and Rescue Technician (FRC) with 5-10 years of experience in fire safety systems, emergency response, and rescue operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of personnel and property through effective fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue interventions. The technician will be responsible for maintaining fire safety equipment and leading emergency preparedness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and firefighting systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond promptly and effectively to fire emergencies and conduct rescue operations as required.
• Participate in and coordinate fire drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response training.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend corrective measures to enhance safety.
• Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, maintenance, and emergency responses.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on fire safety protocols and equipment use.
• Collaborate with safety officers, management, and external agencies to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain firefighting and rescue equipment including fire extinguishers, hoses, pumps, breathing apparatus, and rescue tools.
• Assist in the development and implementation of fire safety policies and emergency plans.
• Ensure all work complies with local fire codes, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Diploma or certification in Fire Safety, Fire Fighting, Emergency Rescue, or related field.
• 5-10 years of proven experience as an FRC Technician or in a similar fire and rescue role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm and firefighting systems and emergency rescue techniques.
• Certified and trained in fire rescue, emergency medical response, and fire safety regulations.
• Strong ability to operate firefighting and rescue equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with local fire safety laws and standards (e.g., Qatar Civil Defense regulations).
• Valid Qatar driving license and locally available with valid visa and QID preferred.
