Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Technician with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will ensure all fire safety equipment operates efficiently and complies with relevant safety standards and regulations. The technician will work closely with safety teams and facility management to maintain a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems including control panels, detectors, alarms, and notification devices
• Install, test, and maintain firefighting equipment such as sprinklers, fire pumps, hydrants, extinguishers, and suppression systems
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and ensure all fire safety equipment is operational and compliant with regulatory standards
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements on faulty components of fire alarm and firefighting systems
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and incidents
• Respond promptly to emergency situations involving fire safety systems
• Collaborate with safety officers and building management to conduct fire drills and safety audits
• Ensure compliance with local fire codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and site personnel
• Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement and servicing of fire safety equipment

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Diploma or technical certification in Fire Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
• 5-10 years of proven experience in fire alarm and firefighting systems installation, maintenance, and repair
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, pumps, hydrants, and safety regulations
• Familiarity with local fire safety codes and international standards (NFPA, BS, etc.)
• Proficient in using fire safety testing and diagnostic tools
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Locally available with valid visa and QID preferred
