Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. Responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting and analysis, this role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management and business strategy. The Financial Analyst will closely work with Director of Finance to make informed decisions, optimize financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your duties and responsibilities include, but not limited, to the following;

Job Responsibilities

  • To assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of the Club’s month end Financial Statements. To ensure that all Journals both Daily and Monthly have been posted so that the Profit and Loss account and the Balance Sheet accurately reflect the results of the Club’s Operations for each month and the year as a whole. To ensure that all General Ledger reconciliations have been prepared and any adjustments are promptly passed.
  • Reviewing the Club’s Fixed Asset Register and Preparing
  • corresponding Depreciation Journals.
  • To assist the Director of Finance in the Training and Development of the Finance Department Staff.
  • To assist in the Preparation of the Yearly Budget.
  • To liaise with the external Auditors during the Audit.
  • To assist the Director of Finance in the identification of opportunities which would result in the reduction of expenses or the enhancement of revenues.
  • To oversee the Operations of the Food and Beverage cost control section and to ensure that all relevant procures are being followed and reports are being generated
  • Deputising for the Director of Finance in his absence in respect to financial matters.
  • In addition to above, your are required to carry-out all the other duties & responsibilities assigned by the Director of Finance.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Management in, with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Fully/Semi qualified in Professional courses like ACCA / CIMA / CMA.
  • Experience in Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Reporting and Strategic Financial Planning is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Must be a Team Player.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret Financial data, Assess Financial Performance and identify Trends and Insights.
  • Solid understanding of Financial Principles, Accounting Standards and Financial Management Techniques.
  • Ability to develop and implement Financial strategies aligned with Organizational Goals and Objectives.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices
