Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Sous Chef with a strong luxury hotel background to support the Executive Chef in leading all culinary operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and presentation while managing large kitchen brigades and delivering exceptional dining experiences aligned with 5-star hospitality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in planning, coordinating, and supervising all kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent execution of menus across all outlets, banquets, and room service
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, taste, and presentation in line with luxury brand guidelines
  • Lead, mentor, train, and motivate kitchen teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Oversee food preparation, production schedules, and service during peak operations
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Assist in menu development, recipe costing, and seasonal menu planning
  • Monitor food costs, labor costs, inventory levels, and minimize wastage
  • Coordinate with purchasing and store departments to ensure timely availability of high-quality ingredients
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve culinary-related issues promptly
  • Step in for the Executive Chef in their absence and ensure seamless kitchen operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Professional Cookery
  • Minimum 5–8 years of culinary experience, with proven experience in a luxury or 5-star hotel environment
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume luxury operation
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines and modern culinary techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • High standards of cleanliness and discipline
