Electrical Supervisor

Seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a short-term project in Qatar to oversee maintenance of buildings, sports facilities, chiller plants, and water/sewage systems. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, monitoring contractors, verifying maintenance, preparing reports, and maintaining project records. Requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years’ experience (including 2 years in GCC), and strong English and computer skills.

Nature and Scope of Position / Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspection of electrical equipment in buildings, sports facilities, chiller plants, sewage, and water systems.
  • Prepare snag reports for outsourced O&M contractors and manage Oracle System Work Requests.
  • Supervise daily electrical maintenance of transformers, DG sets, switch gears, MCC panels, UPS, lifts, BMS, and fire alarm systems.
  • Record routine kWh meter readings.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of maintenance schedules (preventive, corrective, predictive, emergency).
  • Supervise and resolve corrective maintenance requests/complaints.
  • Monitor contractor performance and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain detailed project files and submit updated “As Built” drawings to Archives and Mail unit.
  • Track work orders issued to contractors and follow up for updates.
  • Manage technicians’ duty logs and assign in-house works.
  • Prepare maintenance reports detailing progress, backlog, service levels, trends, and recommendations.
  • Follow QU security and safety guidelines and assist in incident reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineer or authorized representative.

Experience and Education:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (minimum 3 years full-time academic).
  • Minimum 5 years of building operation & maintenance or construction project experience (including 2 years in GCC).
  • Fluency in English (writing, reading, speaking) is mandatory.
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, internet research, data handling, and report formatting.
  • Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid visa/QID.
