Duty Manager (Hospitality)

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth running of service during your shift, maintaining high standards of hospitality and efficiency.
- Promote a professional and welcoming image to guests. Assist guests promptly and courteously, addressing their needs with a caring attitude.
- Be flexible and responsive to business and guest needs, assisting across various areas of the hotel as required.
- Maintain effective communication regarding shift updates and attend all relevant hotel meetings.
- Support the personnel and training functions, including taking on specific responsibilities related to staff development.
- Oversee and assist in various departments as needed, including operational support in Catering areas.
- Aid in the training and induction of new staff members in collaboration with the Heads of Department.
- Ensure the security of the hotel, including management of stocks and keys, throughout your shift.
- Assist the Operations Manager in adhering to legal obligations concerning Health & Safety, including conducting and reviewing risk assessments.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards within the workplace.
- Assume responsibility for emergency situations in line with established procedures while on duty.
- Attend training meetings and other relevant events as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional guest service.
- Flexibility to respond to various business needs and guest requests efficiently.
- Experience in staff training and development.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and ability to implement risk assessments.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and team members.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or a related field are preferred.
