Dog Trainer/Caretaker

A Dog Trainer is responsible for training dogs to follow commands, improve behavior, and develop obedience skills. The trainer works closely with dogs and their owners to ensure proper behavior, safety, and socialization through positive training techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Train dogs in obedience, behavior correction, and socialization
• Teach basic and advanced commands to dogs
• Assess dog behavior and develop suitable training programs
• Guide pet owners on handling and caring for their dogs
• Monitor dogs’ progress and maintain training records
• Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs during training sessions
• Use positive reinforcement and humane training methods
• Assist in resolving behavioral issues such as aggression, barking, or anxiety
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in training areas
• Follow company policies and animal welfare standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dog Trainer or similar role
• Good understanding of dog behavior and training techniques
• Ability to handle dogs of different breeds and sizes
• Patience, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working with animals
• Certification in dog training is an advantage
