Demi Chef de Partie

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Demi Chef de Partie with a minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen or bakery operations. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and production of high-quality bakery and kitchen items in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing and preparing pastry and bakery goods according to hotel standards and timely delivery schedules.
  • Ensure consistent quality by following standardized recipes and portion controls.
  • Help manage food costs by minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff.
  • Assist in working across various kitchen sections as needed.
  • Maintain high sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues.
  • Respond to guest feedback and implement improvements as directed.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service through professional interaction.
  • Address guest and internal inquiries or complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Assist in maximizing productivity via multi-skilling and flexible scheduling.
  • Support cost control efforts on utilities, payroll, and equipment use.
  • Help supervise kitchen staff in maintaining grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and core values.
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, and contribute to team efforts.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Higher Secondary Education or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Kitchen Production, Pastry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Demi Chef de Partie specializing in pastry and bakery, preferably within luxury hotels or reputable international brands.
  • Culinary or hospitality qualification in Kitchen Production, Pastry, or related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, occupational health, and safety standards.
  • Experience with recipe management and basic computer skills (MS Office preferred).
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls accurately.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance and safe operation.
  • Understanding of food cost control and waste reduction techniques.
  • Flexibility to work across different kitchen sections as required.
