Chief Accountant (Luxury Hospitality)

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Accountant with a strong background in luxury hospitality to join a prestigious group in Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring 6–8 years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a senior or chief accountant role within high-end hotel or resort environments.This role demands exceptional financial leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the financial operations unique to the luxury hospitality sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all hotel accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and local regulations

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements, forecasts, and reports for executive management

  • Monitor budgets, control expenditures, and support cost-efficiency strategies across departments

  • Ensure smooth coordination between accounting, operations, and external auditors

  • Manage tax submissions, payroll processes, and ensure full compliance with local laws

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff to maintain high-performance standards

  • Ensure accuracy in guest billing, vendor payments, and internal audits

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and SOPs tailored to luxury hospitality

  • Use hospitality systems like Opera PMS, Protel, SunSystems, etc., to manage daily financial activities

  • Participate in strategic meetings, offering insights to support financial and operational goals.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management

  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in hospitality accounting, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role

  • Strong command of luxury hotel financial operations, guest billing, and departmental budgeting

  • Proficient in hotel accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Locally available in Qatar and ready to join immediately or with short notice

  • Bilingual Proficiency in English and Arabic
