A Carpenter in a luxury hotel or resort is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and crafting high-quality woodwork and interior finishes to the highest standards. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are visually flawless, functional, and aligned with luxury hospitality aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance for guest rooms, suites, public areas, restaurants, and back-of-house areas.
- Install, repair, and refurbish furniture, doors, cabinets, wall panels, flooring, and decorative woodwork.
- Perform preventive maintenance to preserve the quality and appearance of all wooden fixtures and fittings.
- Assist with renovation, refurbishment, and fit-out projects as required.
- Ensure all work meets luxury quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Identify and report damages, wear, or safety hazards to the engineering team.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and engineering teams to minimize guest disruption.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest-related carpentry requests.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end residential/commercial properties.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools, and finishing standards.
- Ability to read drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
