As an experienced Cardiology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert care in diagnosing, treating, and preventing cardiovascular diseases. Your expertise in cardiology and commitment to patient care will play a critical role in our healthcare facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Provide expert consultations to patients and other healthcare professionals on cardiovascular health and management.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and coordinate care.
Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in cardiology to ensure the use of the latest treatments and technologies.
Educate patients and their families about heart health, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and cardiology fellows, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Develop and participate in community outreach programs to promote cardiovascular health and awareness.
Collaborate with surgical teams for preoperative and postoperative care of cardiac surgery patients.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes within the cardiology department.
Attend and present at medical conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay abreast of the latest research and developments in cardiology.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
Residency training in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in cardiology from a recognized program.
Board certification in cardiology.
Valid medical license to practice.
Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience as a Cardiology Consultant.
Required experience in the GCC region, with knowledge of local healthcare regulations and practices.
Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Required QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners) license or equivalent licensing from the regulatory authority in Qatar.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to professional ethics.
Proficiency in using cardiology diagnostic equipment and software systems.
Language proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
