BMS Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Technician with 5–10 years of comprehensive experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Building Management Systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the optimal operation of HVAC, lighting, and other integrated building systems, contributing to energy efficiency and system reliability across luxury or commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, commission, and calibrate BMS systems for new construction projects and existing facilities.
- Perform advanced preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of BMS hardware and software components.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to maximize energy efficiency and building automation effectiveness.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, ensuring compatibility with latest technologies, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of BMS with other building systems.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation including service reports, maintenance records, and system change logs.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or system faults, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Deliver technical support, training, and guidance to clients, facility management, and internal teams on BMS operations and best practices.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards throughout all tasks.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Building Automation, or related field.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience with BMS systems, specifically in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting roles.
- Strong proficiency with BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of HVAC, lighting controls, electrical systems, and energy management principles.
- Experience with installation, calibration, commissioning, and fault diagnosis of controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and software diagnostics tools.
- Knowledge of current industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
