A prestigious luxury hotel group in Qatar is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Assistant Banqueting Manager to support the successful execution of high-end banquets, corporate functions, and private events. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering flawless service and upholding the brand's elevated hospitality standards throughout all events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Banqueting Manager in the organization and smooth execution of events and banquet functions.
  • Supervise the setup, service operation, and post-event breakdown to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Liaise with clients to confirm event expectations and ensure their needs are fully met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with culinary, service, and support teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Oversee and guide banquet staff, ensuring tasks are assigned clearly and efficiently during events.
  • Monitor service standards during functions and address guest feedback promptly.
  • Maintain control over banquet inventory, equipment care, and supplies.
  • Ensure all health, hygiene, and safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Provide support in training and mentoring junior team members to uphold service excellence.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks including report preparation, scheduling, and billing.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene is an advantage.
  • 2–4 years of managerial experience in banqueting, events, or F&B operations in a luxury hotel or upscale venue preferred.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a guest-centric attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and basic event planning tools.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
