As an Air Traffic Services Agent, you will play a crucial role in supporting air traffic control operations and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within designated airspace and airports. Your responsibilities include providing critical communication and coordination between pilots, ground personnel, and air traffic control to maintain seamless flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating the movement of aircraft in controlled airspace and on the ground, ensuring adherence to established flight plans and regulations.
Provide clear and concise instructions to pilots regarding takeoff, landing, and taxiing procedures, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Monitor and communicate weather conditions, runway availability, and other pertinent information to flight crews and ground personnel.
Maintain accurate records of aircraft movements, communications, and operational activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with airport authorities, ground services, and emergency response teams to manage aircraft emergencies and incidents effectively.
Implement air traffic flow management measures during peak traffic periods to optimize airspace utilization and minimize delays.
Assist pilots and airline personnel with flight planning, flight clearance requests, and operational inquiries.
Monitor and respond to radio communications and emergency distress signals from aircraft, initiating appropriate emergency procedures as needed.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of air traffic control equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in air traffic control systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in aviation, air traffic control, or related fields is advantageous.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Air Traffic Services Agent or in a similar role within the aviation industry.
Experience in the GCC region is preferred, with knowledge of local airspace regulations and airport operations.
Strong communication skills and ability to convey information accurately and effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in using air traffic control systems, radar equipment, and communication tools.
Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism in air traffic services.
Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is advantageous for communication with local stakeholders.
