We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cutting, trimming, and portioning of meat, poultry, and seafood while ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat, poultry, and seafood according to operational requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of all products.
• Maintain quality standards and minimize waste during processing.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher section and equipment.
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen teams to meet daily production requirements.
• Inspect products for freshness and quality before processing.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Butcher in a hotel, restaurant, catering company, or food production environment.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, portioning, deboning, and trimming techniques.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
• Knowledge of seafood and poultry processing is an advantage.
